Every wash at Great White Car Wash is powered by water-saving technology that makes each cycle efficient, effective, and eco-conscious. We use less fresh water than the average load of laundry, with just 30 gallons per wash, which is about the same as your daily shower.
But we don’t stop there. Eighty percent of that water is reclaimed, filtered, and reused, reducing waste and keeping polluted runoff out of Alberta’s waterways. That means fewer contaminants reaching fish, wildlife, and even humans downstream. Not bad for a wash that only takes a few minutes.
Clean Chemistry
Great White Car Wash uses only 100% biodegradable, non-toxic cleaning agents and waxes. When these options weren’t available, we developed our own proprietary formulas. These products break down safely and completely, leaving nothing behind but shine. Even in the rare event of a leak or spill during transport, they won’t harm the land they touch.
And in case you're wondering, we do go the extra mile. Before anything touches your vehicle, our filtration systems remove and safely dispose of any remaining residue or runoff. Biodegradable is great, but non-toxic and responsibly handled is even better.

Proud to Be a WaterSavers® Certified Wash
Great White Car Wash is proud to be the only car wash in Canada to carry the WaterSavers® program badge, an internationally recognized certification for car washes that meet high environmental standards for water usage and runoff prevention.
So, what does this certification actually mean? It means our wash process is not only safer and cleaner than most traditional methods, but also more efficient. Each vehicle we wash uses approximately 30 gallons of fresh water, thanks to our advanced water and chemical regulation technology. For comparison, washing your car at home with a garden hose can use over 60 gallons every five minutes, with none of the water being recycled or filtered before entering the environment.

Note: WaterSavers regulates fresh water usage. While the program requires reclaim systems to be used when installed, it does not set a minimum reuse requirement. At Great White, we go the extra mile by reclaiming 80% of used water, filtering it, and recycling it for the next wash.
